P&H OMEGA 25 FEATURES AND OVERVIEW
CRANE BOOM
All boom sections of the Omega 25 feature welded full depth rectangular four-plate construction. All three sections are hydraulically self-proportioning. It features semi-fixed telescope cylinder mounts with power telescope-rated loads. Its boom points are outfitted with three non-metallic main sheaves and one idler with roller bearings. Optional boom features include boom extension, jib, auxiliary sheave and hook blocks.
OPERATOR’S CAB
Cab
The operator’s cab features an all-weather environmental design. For additional driver safety, it’s outfitted with safety glass throughout its construction. It also features slide locking doors and a hinged ceiling window. As a result, it provides the operator with a complete view in all directions. In addition, a mounting cushion outfits the cab, which provides noise cancellation and vibration dampening.
Standard Cab Accessories
The cab contains all crane operational and roading controls as standard controls. In addition, it houses the outrigger remote controls as well. Other features include an anti-two block device, boom length indicator and mechanical boom angle indicator.
Optional Cab Accessories
Optional accessories and crane parts may be included in the cab, such as a heater for propane or diesel-powered thermostat, fire extinguisher, electronic load indicator, defroster fan and drum rotation indicator. Other accessories include an electric warning horn, air conditioner, amber rotating beacon, rearview mirrors and vandal-proof glass.
CONTROLS
The following are the main controls and crane parts on the P&H Omega 25: boom hoist (operated using foot pedals); the other pedals are for engine throttle, service brakes and swing brakes. In addition, you’ll find double-acting levers mounted on the left console, which are used for the telescope and swing. The levers on the right, on the other hand, are for the boom hoist, main winch and auxiliary winch.
BOOM HOIST AND TELESCOPE
The Omega 25 features a hydraulically-powered boom hoist raised and lowered via a holding valve. It features a 229 mm ID double-acting cylinder. The telescope, on the other hand, features two double-acting ID cylinders. A single-hose loop supplies the extension and retraction power with a holding valve.
CARRIER
The Omega 25 features four-wheel drive and steering. Its frame beams consist of four fabricated rectangular tubings reinforced by box cross members. It also features all-welded construction with permanent alignment with upper and swing-bearing machinery.
